13-8 is a precipitation hardened martensitic stainless steel alloy that is melted as VIM+VAR. This alloy offers good corrosion resistance and excellent strength. The addition of Molybdenum allows improved pitting resistance as compared to other precipitation hardened grades such as 15-5 and 17-4.
