Job responsibilities include the oversight of the heat treat processing of material and NDT methods including immersion sonic and other technical support for mill operations. Must have strong analytical, communication and computer skills.
- NDT Level III Specialist Bridgeville, PA
Job duties include but are not limited to performance and oversight of NDT operations within a steel mill production environment operating under an ISO and NADCAP certified quality system. Recertify trained NDT (UT & MT) inspectors to keep their certifications current to internal SNT-TC-1A/NAS410 NDT personnel qualification procedures and train additional new personnel to be NDT inspectors in UT and MT. Establishing procedures for immersion NDT testing for new immersion testing facility and immersion tank testing, including interpreting codes and specification requirements and other NDT operations, and training and conducting examination of NDT technicians to support production operations. Current ASNT Level III certification in UT is required and experience with contact and immersion methods of UT is desired. Experience and certification in MT and ET is also beneficial.
